What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal filler injections use hyaluronic acid to rejuvenate facial skin. They reduce or eliminate wrinkles, minimize deep folds, raise scar depressions, enhance lips and replace soft-tissue volume loss. 

As we age, our skin is more susceptible to wrinkles and sagging. Dermal fillers are a safe and instantaneous way to restore volume and structural support, resulting in a more youthful, firmer appearance to your face and skin. 

How it Works

Dermal Fillers are temporary but can offer long-lasting solutions administered through a few tiny facial injections to specific areas of the face. The Powder Room staff will help you determine which injectable dermal filler injections and treatments are right for you. Furthermore, Juvéderm® facial fillers will add volume to creases and folds in areas that have lost fat and collagen. Juvéderm® is made by Allergan, the same makers of BOTOX® Cosmetic.

Dermal fillers can replace and restore fullness to achieve the natural beauty of smooth and more youthful skin, but also tighten and lift surrounding skin in a variety of areas. Our team will work with you to create an individualized, unique plan to address your concerns and have you feeling absolutely gorgeous.  

What you can Expect

A Dermal filler treatment lasts 30-60 minutes with instant results. Different from BOTOX® Cosmetics, Dermal filler results are immediate and you will see significant improvement in the treatment area. 

After the procedure temporary redness, swelling, firmness, bumps and bruises are common and will typically soften with the first 48 hours up to 1 week. Most people can return to their normal routine on the same day as their procedure depending on the treatment received.

Clinically, dermal fillers can last up to 24 months, although this does depend on the treatment area chosen. The Powder Room team will recommend a maintenance program to maintain results.
